NOV RUN CLUB

"It’s not just about promoting runs, it’s about creating an environment where people feel welcome." - Arun Kang
A space dedicated to breaking barriers to accessibility and supporting health and wellbeing in the Brent community.
Running is one of the most readily accessible sports, however, the individual obstacles to access the sport are often overlooked, hence why diverse recreational runners comprise only 11% of the national running statistics. Specifically, in the London Borough of Brent, the Black, Asian and 'minority' communities represent 64% of the local population, yet participation in running and jogging is significantly lower in Brent (5.4%) compared to London (7.1%) according to the most recent data published by 2006 Active People Survey (2006).
Through our weekly run club, we are providing a space where people can connect, meet likeminded individuals and learn how to run under the guidance of qualified coaches. Using Wembley Box Park as a meet point, we create and run routes around Wembley suitable for beginner to intermediate fitness levels #thenovway.
